Yard Waste

Yard Waste

The best and easiest option in many cases is to just leave your yard waste alone! Mow over leaves to mulch them, and avoid bagging grass clippings unless you plan to use them as compost. 

For yard waste you are not equipped to compost yourself, Topeka has two yard material composting/recycling facilities:

Material disposed at these facilities is processed for compost, turned into woodchips, or used for energy at the Frito Lay plant.
