This large Asian gourd goes by many names: calabash (English), tao yao (Thai), and lauki (Indian) among them. It has a mild flavor, so it works well in a variety of dishes. Try it with eggs in this Thai recipe or with red lentils in this Indian recipe. One 2 lb. gourd grown by Meadows@Moonlight. Last week's harvest and may be showing signs of age.
