Mnokiwèn (pronounced NoKeyWhen) means "from the good earth" in Potawatomi, and the hemp is grown by Prairie Band Ag on the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation using sustainable farming practices that honor and restore their tribal lands.
Sold in 25 lbs. buckets. Choose from a 5-gallon round bucket with a twist-off gamma lid or a pre-owned rectangular kitty litter bucket. Instructions: Mnokiwèn Hemp Litter works differently than a clumping kitty litter. Instead of clumping, wet pellets break down in place. This is equally effective for odor control, but your cleaning method may be a little different.
To start, add litter to a clean box, filling 2-3 inches deep. Scoop solids and damp, broken-down pellets daily, using a solid (not slotted) scoop for best results. Top off with new pellets and stir to redistribute moisture and keep odors down. Empty, clean, and refill the box regularly, about every 1-2 weeks. Litter is 100% plant-based and biodegradable.
Tips for Helping Your Kitty Make the Switch: Mix 25% hemp pellets with your current litter for 3-4 days. Move to 50% for another few days, then fully make the switch. Most cats adjust well, as the litter is soft underpaw and has no artificial scents, which can be irritating to cats.
