Flax seeds are rich in essential fatty acids and commonly added to cereals or breads.  

    For easier digestion and better nutritional benefit, grind flax seeds in a small coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle. Ground flax seeds taste nutty, a bit like wheat germ.

    To use flax as an egg replacement, grind seeds, then gradually add water until the mixture reaches an egg-like consistency.
