Cardboard

Cardboard

Cardboard is highly recyclable. It's typically one of the easiest materials for consumers to recycle, and Shawnee County even offers public drop-off bins for it. Cardboard is distinguished here from paperboard, which is white when you rip it instead of brown. The public drop-off bins are intended for brown corrugated cardboard (such as shipping boxes) and chipboard (such as cereal boxes and egg cartons—not paperboard that rips white.

Note that pizza boxes can be recycled, even if there is grease on them. Remove any liner before recycling.
