Beans - Garbanzo
Beans - Garbanzo
Azure Standard
Cook up these organic garbanzo beans (or chickpeas) to make some creamy hummus, crispy falafel, or delicious curry, soup, or salad. They hold their texture better than other beans so do not mash as easily but are ideal for contexts when you want them to retain their shape.
Sort and rinse thoroughly before cooking.
Sourced from Azure Standard; grown in the USA, Mexico, or Argentina.
Cooking Instuctions:
Bring water to a boil, reduce to a slow simmer, and cook until tender. Timing varies with the age of the chickpeas, but with a pre-soak it typically takes about 1 1/2 hours. If not presoaked, cooking can take up to 4 hours.
