Two pounds of apples grown by South Baldwin Farms in their orchard located 20 miles south of Lawrence.

Jonagold apples are a cross between gold delicious and Jonathan apples. They have a sweet-tart flavor, yellowish skin with red blush, and a crisp, creamy yellow flesh. 

South Baldwin Farms does not follow organic practices, but they reduce pesticide usage via a variety of integrated pest management techniques. In addition, some of the pesticides they use are organic (OMRI certified), and they use drip irrigation to reduce water usage.
