TOPEKA (WIBW) - Instead of tossing broken items in the trash, neighbors brought them to the CRC Care Center at Stout.
There, volunteers fixed items for free and gave old favorites a chance to shine again.
The first Full Circle Fix-It Clinic was held on Sept. 27, 2025, and is proving that you don’t always have to trash it.
Sometimes the best solution is to repair it.
“Events like these are growing around the country, said Justine Greve, executive director of Full Circle Sustainability. “They’re sprouting up all over, and they really seem to strike a chord with people. People seem to be so happy to discover that there are people out there with the skills to fix things and the willingness to help donate their time to give the items a second life.”
Donations were also accepted to support Full Circle and the future of Fix-It Clinics.
